Traditional South African Stew

Ingredients
- 2 pounds Stew Meat, lean, cubed, salted to taste
- 1 28 oz. can of tomatoes
- 12 small whole mushrooms
- 1 stalk celery, sliced diagonally
- 12 pearl onions
- 1 stalk celery, sliced diagonally
- 1 sweet potato, cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 cup African Rhino™ Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
Instructions (Serves 4)
- Combine meat, tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, sweet potato, onions, salt, bay leaf, and African Rhino™ Hot Sauce in a 5 qt. saucepan.List Title 1
- Mix well and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered for one hour, adding water if necessary.
- Stir in peanut butter.
- Simmer for one hour longer or until vegetables and meat are tender.
- Add peas and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with rice.
